The initial model of BMW X3 was powered by a 3.0 liter I-6 engine that produces power up to 190 kilo watts at an angular speed of 5900 rpm and torque of 214 lb ft at an angular speed of 3500 rpm. The engine in the car is mated to a standard 6-speed automatic transmission. It also offers 6-speed manual transmission as optional.
